Rich and Bob decided to attend AWS re:Invent and demonstrate the fruits of a bunch of work Rich has done to create a more pluggable architecture. Namely:
- Load Testing for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery with Jenkins Plug-In
- Simple Scalability with JMeter
If you look at our architecture, Rich added plug-ability to our our core web service via an API that Jenkins could communicate with and control, and the load agent so that it could run not only PHP and Node.js custom scripts but also take JMeter .jmx files and runs them in as many load agent JMeter deployments as you like.
We got great customer feedback on this from everyone we met at the conference. And a number of you have already signed up for the $250/year cost for unlimited load testing where the only cost is your EC2 compute and network usage directly run on your own AWS account. The most common refrain was “you guys are not charging enough”.
