JMeter 3.0 is a major update from the community and one that is years in the making. For any open source project to pull off a release of this size is no easy accomplishment. Contributions from 26 individuals are mentioned and we are sure many good discussions in the forum drove ideas and collaboration. With this release, JMeter continues to solidify itself as the leader in performance testing; a workhorse that has been providing value for more than 15 years.
There are a lot of big enhancements in JMeter 3.0, but the contributions from one company go above and beyond – The UBIK team. They contributed a brand a new web reporting system, JSON plugin, and if you follow the community forums, hours and hours of time to drive the 3.0 release. Other updates include an improved UX & UI, improvements to scripting and debugging, reporting enhancements, general bug fixes, and more.
